On 26 March 2025, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy successfully conducted a flight‑test of the indigenously developed Vertically‑Launched Short‑Range Surface‑to‑Air Missile (VLSRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. The missile was launched from a land‑based vertical launcher against a high‑speed aerial target at close range and low altitude, demonstrating its near‑boundary low‑altitude interception capability.

26 मार्च 2025 को डीआरडीओ और भारतीय नौसेना ने चांदीपुर (ओडिशा) स्थित एकीकृत परीक्षण रेंज (ITR) से स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित वर्टिकली‑लॉन्च्ड शॉर्ट‑रेंज सरफेस‑टू‑एयर मिसाइल (VLSRSAM) का सफल उड़ान‑परीक्षण किया। यह मिसाइल भूमि‑आधारित वर्टिकल लॉन्चर से दागी गई और कम ऊंचाई और निकट दूरी पर उच्च‑गति वाले हवाई लक्ष्य को भेदने में सक्षम रही, जिससे इसकी प्रभावी कार्यक्षमता प्रदर्शित हुई।
