Cricket is making a historic return to the Olympic Games in 2028 at Los Angeles after more than a century — the last time it was played in the Olympics was in 1900. For the 2028 Games, the organizers and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have confirmed that the competition will use the T20 format, which is a short, fast-paced version of cricket where each team plays a maximum of 20 overs per innings. Both men’s and women’s tournaments will be held in this format, with six teams competing in each category.
