The Shinkun La Tunnel is located in Ladakh. On 26 July 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the construction of the world's highest tunnel in Kargil by carrying out the first blast. The tunnel will be 4.1 kilometers long and will consist of twin tubes. It is being built at an altitude of approximately 15,800 feet on the Nimu–Padum–Darcha Road.
शिंकुन ला सुरंग लद्दाख में स्थित है। 26 जुलाई 2024 को प्रधानमंत्री Narendra Modi ने Kargil में विश्व की सबसे ऊँची सुरंग के निर्माण कार्य का शुभारंभ प्रथम विस्फोट (First Blast) के साथ किया। यह सुरंग 4.1 किलोमीटर लंबी होगी तथा इसमें दोहरी ट्यूब (Twin Tubes) होंगी। इसका निर्माण निमू-पदम-दरचा मार्ग (Nimu–Padum–Darcha Road) पर लगभग 15,800 फीट की ऊँचाई पर किया जा रहा है।
